Alien VS Predator

Postby Jonny » Thu, 18 Feb 2010 13:31:57 +0000

I've only watched one trailer, which was the Alien reveal one and i don't really know what to think of it. I might download it to try it out but i'm not sure about the multiplayer.

The two daves and Hyde played it when the demo first come out. One of the daves (cant remember which!) said its not worry bothering with.

I've also had the pleasure of playing it and cant really make me mind up. The conrtols feel a little inconsistent which i guess is what Will picked up on. Its almost like the game hasn't been fully tuned to work with a mouse!! Didn't help with you went to options and found Y and X axis bars for the mouse sensitivity!

Also the special moves (if you want to call them that) were a bit annoying as you get a split second to press the button which when you're moving about and concentrating really isn't handy.

Sounds like abit of a disaster then, i'm not one for crappy controls and mouse sensitivity. I think i'll give this one a miss and keep on playing bioshock.

Miller said it better than me! ye heavy in a way though tim, as if the crosshair is being dragged along....it was pretty fun as the predator though, but as a human it was way to easy. The alien was way too hard to control and as Miller said you get a split second to do the special moves, only could do them on the afk players.

The second demo is just the first demo with an update and the update is simply to do with improving the match making because people were complaining it was taking a while to find a match.

There have been some mixed reviews from the full game. Also lots of people have said the Marines campaign is very good but could of done will being lengthened. Its also been said that the Predator and Alien campaigns are way to short and a bit of a let down.

When you get round to it downloading it Mal, fancy telling us what you think :)

I dont like this time of year :P too crowded with promising games. :) Still got Star Trek to continue playing, just started playing Mass Effect 2, got Assassins Creed 2 soon, then Bad Company around the same time, and then CNC4 which probably wont be to popular due to it not having an economy system and havn't a unit points system like DOW:2.
