GG server :(

been 2 days or so, can't join the GG server, it's up to 290+ ping for obviously no reason, since i'm able to play on any other server i'm used to go when i can't be on aerelon one. Anything to fix this except to bomb london to force them to reboot the server?

I restart the server must mornings aslong as i'm up and about before anyones on the server. Last restarted it yesterday morning. I could give it a reboot when its a bit quiet later. There might be a problem somewhere with the server but i havn't seen or heard of anyone else having problems.

Have you restarted your router recently? Could be a laggy hoop somewhere in the connection pipeline to the server?

yup Miller, so dunno where it comes from really, as said, i could go on other regular server, the only one that seems bugging (at least in my favorites, the random ones i can't say i rarely look for new servers XD).

and after quick search for new server i found other english based ones and no big ping. well machines are still machines, sometimes there is nothing to understand with them,

and now it's back to normal, but server is empty. Hope it'd stay not bugged when real peeps comes in

Sounds weird, will be your ISP's routing to the server though. Is it still bad when you connect to the server?

Well it was New Year eve yesterday, so there won't have been alot of people playing CS:S anyway.

ya it's back up to 300+ again

When it goes up to 300 again, goto cmd and ping www.google.com

Post the time also. Peak times play a lot in this part.

as well as pinging google, do a ping to the server ip

and you could also do a trace route

tracert serverip

you don't need to use the port when you type the server ip.

well i found out what was wrong, stupid comp got filled by gay cds/dvd and that removed all issue with aerelon ping, dunno why it didn't change the ping to other server, but that's it and i'm back playing
